The NHL Lockout's Affect on Cory Schneider

This topic relates to the book the outliers because a little bit into the book it talks about needing a certain amount of practice to become a perfectionist. What it says in the book is that for different things you need different amounts of time for different things to become an expert at them. The book did not mention very much on how much you need to practice for hockey, but it did say that if you practice more as a child and not wait until you’re an adult it could very well have a huge impact on your future hockey career. The article explains this topic quite well because a lot of NHL players are going overseas including Cory Schneider. The reason for this move is simple, lack of practice. With the lockout going on that means that teams don't practice, play, or even skate together. A lot of hockey players including Cory Schneider are worried about how much practice they get during the period of the lockout. If regular junior hockey leagues were canceled then all the players would most likely try and find other ways to play hockey. This concludes my relation The NHL Lockouts effect on players and on The Book the Outliers.
