1 Q: What time of year do people need to born to more likely be in the NHL?

1 A: They need to be born early in the year from January to late February.

2 Q: Why do people born before June have a better chance of playing high level baseball?

2 A: They have a better chance because the cut off age for baseball is in late June to play an age group above you, or play elite because if you play with older years you could possibly be viewed as a better player.

3 Q: What if baseball leagues changed the cut off age to later in the year?

3 A: If they did this it would allow much more players to play with the same age group as opposed to playing with an age group above you which could be a little bit more challenging.

A way that we can prevent anymore of these toxic spills is to check, and make sure that all of the mines are safe and are not at risk to spilling. This helps because if you have a faulty dam and if a toxic spill were to happen nearby, the dam would filter it out, and not let it pass through the dam. If there was a toxic spill and the contents were to seep into a river that is protected by a dam, and if that dam is faulty, the toxic waste could seep through and intoxicate potential freshwater drinking reservoirs. Another thing that would help a lot is that if you were to build mines were some of the contents of the area are highly toxic. This would help because in the unlikely event of a leakage or a spill, the contents of the spill would not be toxic, so if the contents were to run into a major river, it would not pollute it.  The final thing is that we should not be building dams right next to major waterways and drinking reservoirs. This would help a little because if there was a spill it would not flow into the river, it would just go all over the land in front of it, but the problem with that if the water flowed onto the ground around the area it could harm surrounding animals and their habitats.

My crazy story that relates to the waterslide starts in whistler. One day in the winter some of the snow had melted of the ski hills so it was cold and I and my cousins were bored out of our minds. So we were walking around the village looking for something to do. Then when we finally made it through the village without finding anything slightly stimulating. On our way back home we walked by a slightly larger pond and it was completely frozen over. My cousins and I both knew what we were going to do. So we walked back home put on our ski gear and headed back to the pond. When we got there we weren't exactly sure how thick the ice was but no one wanted to test it. Then my little cousin who is about 8 volunteered to test it. So I thought "why not, he's the lightest." So he ran onto the ice and slid about 2 or 3 feet; nothing happened. So it gave all of us a crazy idea to see who could slide the farthest on the ice. So my cousin ran back and went first he slide a little farther than last time. So then my other cousin who is 11 and is a little smaller than me went, he slid a little bit farther than my other cousin, and I could see the ice stressing but it still looked fine. So it way finally it was my turn, stepped back a couple of feet to get a running start, then I ran as fast as I could and slid on the ice pretty far across the pond. I was slowing down as I was heading for the edge of the pond I could see the that the ice on the edge of the pond was thinner that the other side, I didn't think anything was going to happen, when I got to the other side I was on the thinner ice it was seeming to hold up, so I stood up and I heard a cracking, all the sudden the ice fell from under me. As I plunged into the chest deep ice water, I was shocked and struggled to get on the edge of the pond. As I was on the bank I was sitting there breathing heavily, then all the sudden I realized that what just happened was absolutely hilarious, so I started to laugh and looked over to my cousins who were killing themselves laughing. Then I finally got up and walked over to my cousins, and we decided we were just going to walk home.

The story all summer in a day relates to the real life story of Phoebe Nora Mary Prince in many ways. It relates because both Phoebe and Margot were bullied and not treated fairly. One thing that was related  between these stories is that both of the girls were  but aside and not listened to. With Margot no one believed her about the sun and with Pheoebe no one listened or took any action  when she was getting bullied.Another thing is that they were both about two girls who were getting neglected and no one helped them.

Text to Text
Dont Laugh at me

This relates because the message is that you should not judge anyone else how they look and what they believe in. The reason this relates is in All Summer in a Day Margot is discriminated because she thinks that the sun is going to come out

In a comparison I would have to pick The Waterslide when it comes to the overall rating. In my opinion i much perfered The Waterslide because it was a little bit of a more in depth, and explained more than Turlington's Dog. The reason. I think the Waterslide was funier than Turlington's Dog because it followed the story alot closer which helped make it funier because you could understand it more. The one i can probably relate more to is Turlington's Dog because, i have had a similar thing happen to me in real life. The one i sympathize more towards is The Waterslide because i sympathize more towards the kids more because i sometimes get pretty bored and i have the most crazy ideas. I would reccomend The Waterslide to a friend becasue it is funnier than the other story and is much more descriptive. I sometimes perfer this type of story when i am bored.
